Building strong therapeutic bonds is essential for clients therapeutic change and to get the most out of therapy and remain committed to the process. The therapeutic relationship is as powerful, perhaps the most important component than the specific treatment modality chosen by the therapist. Therapist may work with couples, families or individuals to help them express their thoughts, feelings and needs and openly in order for their partners to promote clear and open communication. In couple / family therapy clients are invited to fully participate in session in order as communication is two-way street. Often times some therapist may provide psychoeducation surrounding love languages during couples therapy.
